Setting your home or office thermostat

Setting your home or office thermostat for local Orange County California service call D C’s heating & air conditioning at 949-770-9616 What should I set my air conditioner thermostat to? Ok this is a great topic and I want to tell you that during the hot summer setting your thermostat really low does not make the air come out colder or cooler! This is a bad idea and may cost you money for repairs!

Setting your home or office thermostat

The thermostat on the wall is like a light switch it’s either on or off by what temperature you desire in your conditioned space. If the room is warm and you want to lower the temperature use what I call baby steps take it down 2 degrees and wait until the unit shuts off and see if you feel comfortable! If you still feel warm after the unit shuts off repeat process until you feel comfortable!

The same goes for the heat also! Its either on or of and by cranking it up the unit will not heat the home or office faster but you might all of a sudden feel really hot because you set the heat up to high!

One response to “Setting your home or office thermostat”

  1. Homeowners often ask me what temperature I should set thermostat to. This is a hard question to answer because each person has a different level of feelings for their comfort. I set my thermostat for 75 degrees during the summer months to keep my home cool and comfortable. I don’t really like my home too cold with the air conditioning. Some might set theirs cooler or warmer depending on their comfort.

I set my thermostat during the winter to 73 degrees to keep my home warm but not too hot. The furnace is natural gas and provides my home with comfort during the winters in Orange County, California. Many people will use different setting depending on their comfort or saving on their utility bills.
