I once used to use the Yelp reviews, but someone figured out how to hide those bad reviews and also have friends and family write the good ones, so I no longer use the Yelp reviews to find good contractors.
My company never signed up for Yelp because we used the best form of advertisement and that is word of mouth! I never understood why companies would have reviews if they never gave good service or prices?

Where do you go to find a great contractor to fix things? If you really search the Internet and check out the background of a company, you might be surprised what you find.
Some people will blog on Facebook, twitter, and personal site good experiences with contractors and some bad.
I have always taken pride in my work and was really fair with my prices to keep my company name at the top of the list of great contracting.
I work for really large corporations to the small homes giving great prices and service to all those in need.
Good luck with your search and if you use the Yelp to find the contractor look at the bottom of their webpage at reviews not currently recommended and click on that to see what that contractor or company is trying to hide.
You will be amazed at the reviews the company paid to have removed to keep all the stars and look great! If they are hiding their bad reviews, do you think you are going to get a great deal or service?
Also, if the Yelp says it has 20 reviews make sure 20 are on the page and not hidden! Trust me hidden means they are hiding the bad ones, and you might be their next victim!
