How to read an air conditioning name plate

This is a Lennox brand air conditioning condensing unit
M/N = Model number
13HPX = 13 seer unit (seasonal energy efficiency ratio)
048 = 4-ton condensing unit (12000 BTU per ton)
230 = 230 volt condensing unit
18 = single phase unit

S/N = Serial Number
1913H188804 = this will give us the year manufacturing 1/9/2013
HFC – 410A = the refrigerant that is used in this condensing system
9 LBS 11 OZS = this is what the factory charge is for installation and usually the max total refrigerant charge
Design Pressure Hi 446 Low 236 = this is what the factory has pressure tested to and please never use these pressures when charging you will hurt yourself!
Compressor
PH 1 = single phase
RLA = Run Load Amps (for checking amp draw while compressor is running)
LRA = Locked Rotor Amps (the amps the compressor draws during start)
Fan Motor – PH 1 single phas
FLA 1.7 = Full load amps (what the condenser motor draws during run)
HP ¼ = Horse Power (this is a ¼ hp condenser motor)
Min CKT = (this is the minimum amp draw and equals 28.8)
Max Fuse Size 50 = (this is how we get the proper wire size and fuse for this condensing unit)
